Anibal’s farm Finca Finca El Guayacanal is located in the townships of Las Toldas, outside of La Argentina, in the Huila department. The 4 hectare farm is around 1900 masl, and Anibal has managed it so that about 2 hectares is dedicated to a small native forest that remains protected on his farm, and he treats residual wastewater so that it is cleaned before returning to the water sources on his farm as well.
This lot is fermented in both cherry form and then in sealed bags as parchment. This process, alongside excellent farm management and climate, have resulted in coffee that not only we love – Anibal achieved 2nd place in the recent Cup of Excellence competition with his geisha variety lot.
We first tasted Anibal’s coffee in 2015 and we’ve been watching and tasting almost every year since then. This latest pink bourbon lot is a cracker.
